VEGETABLE SANDWICH
Veg sandwich is a nutritious snack for all age groups.. it is prepared in different styles and i always opt for a easy way with minimum ingredients so that it can be made anytime we like.. usually the vegtables will be thinly sliced and it will be easy for kids to take that out and eat... to avoid that i used to finely chop the required veggies so that the stuffing will not be easy to remove and hence the children ends up consuming all the vegetables.. Experience speaks here as this way i made my son to have the whole sandwich without omitting the veggies..
INGREDIENTS
Sandwich bread - 10 slices (or as required)
Cucumber - 1 no ( skin peeled,seeds removed and finely chopped)
Capsicum - 1 (any colour ,i used green.. finely chopped ,remove seeds)
Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Big onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Lettuce - (6 to 7 leaves chopped as shown below)
Jalaeopenos - optional
Red chilli sauce - 2 tsp
Mayaonnese - 2 tbsp
black pepper - 1tsp
Cheese spread - any brand
Butter - as required
Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
METHOD
Add all the chopped vegetables in a bowl , add red chilli sauce, maiyaoneese, pepper powder and mix well ..this is the stuffing .. u can add shredded paneer or scrambled eggs also to give a variation..
Place a tawa on the stove top and let it get heated.Take a bread slice and spread butter and keep it on the tawa..On the top side spread the tomato sauce..
place one large spoon of stuffings first, on top of it spread lettuce generously..
Take another slice and on one side spread the cheese spread and keep that over the lettuce and apply butter on the upper side.
Cover and cook for 2 mins in medium flame , flip it over and cook for another 2 mins, ur sandwich is ready..
