EASY FISH FRY

Fish fry can be made in different types but in this post I am sharing a basic fish fry recipe.. this is applicable to any kind of fish u buy.. Fish can be deep fried, shallow fried or even cooked in tawa if you want less oil.. we will see more recipes on fish in coming days .. for now this recipe is very simple, minimal ingredients and tastes superb.. U can get many store bought fish fry masalas but nothing can beat this masala which we prepare at home. in addition to that we are not adding ajinomotto , food colours which is very healthy..

INGREDIENTS

Fish (any fish of your choice) - 1 kg
Ginger garlic paste - 4 tbsp ( note when u make ginger garlic paste for fish ,garlic should be slightly more than ginger)
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 5 tsp ( add more if u like spicy)
Corn flour - 5 tbsp (fish should be fully coated)
Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
Salt - as required
Oil - as required for deep frying

METHOD

Clean fish thoroughly in water, if you like u can add curd in the water and wash the fish. drain it completely without any water. In a bowl, take fish, ginger garlic paste, chilly powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice ,salt, corn flour, mix it all nicely and corn flour should coat fully, u can add more corn flour if needed.Marinate it in fridge for minimum 2 hours, it can be marinated even for overnight .. and if u have leftover uncooked  marinated fish , u can refrigerate and use for 2 days. U can fry the required amount whenever u want.

After the marinating time, heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the fish pieces for 3 to 5 mins .. refer the picture for the correct colour for frying..

Thats it your fish fry is ready to eat ,, serve it with some freshly cut onion rings and lemon ..hope u all enjoyed this easy fish fry recipe.. give your valuble feedback through comments.. until the next post Veni signing off .. Happy cooking !!!
